My Dear Inner Child

Project for Masters in Arts Practice (Arts, Health and Well-Being) 2023
A story of inner child, trauma and apologies.
It began with a simple drawing from an inner child workshop I attended on a retreat. This drawing sparked a poem and also reflective art using water colours. All these combined, with live action, stills and illustrations, I created 2D animations with motion graphics in After Effects. The film is set in a wardrobe, a place of comfort as a child to hide away, which here in the film acts as a theatre to tell the story.

Project for Masters in Arts Practice (Art, Health and Well-Being) 2023
7 children produced amazing superheroes, artwork, stories, and poetry in 4 workshops I ran in their school, Llandaff City Church in Wales Primary School in Cardiff during the Summer term 2023 as part of my Masters in Arts Practice (Art, Health & Well-Being). My predominant creative method is motion graphics, so by using my skills in animation, graphics, editing and sound design their artwork created is brought to life in this animation.
